A  Micro lot is a smaller yield from the rest of the coffee on a farm, it is selected and grown for its high quality and unique flavour profiles. Micro lots are typically grown in a different section of a larger farm or estate. They are treated differently from the rest of the coffee, from how it is grown to how it is processed. Micro lots are usually sold at a much higher value than the rest of the coffee as it is more complex and harder to manage with greater risks.
